FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is a Handicap Index?

A number that shows your playing ability under the World Handicap System (WHS). The lower it is, the better the golfer. It lets players of different levels compete fairly.

How is it calculated?

From your most recent rounds: the best 8 score differentials of your last 20 rounds are averaged. It is updated as new scores are posted.

Where can I see my Handicap Index?

In the official PGI Club Handicap System (club.pbpgi.id) and on My Golf in the MAKAMURA app.

What is the difference between Handicap Index and Course Handicap?

The Handicap Index is your general level. The Course Handicap converts it to the number of strokes you receive on a specific course and tee, using its Slope and Course Rating.
